Off for a stroll

Well here's the O'Connell crew off walking for the good of their health. However it wasn't all happy times!
Firstly - Mum bent over to check on Jacob before Dad had picked him up. However she had Sam on her back. This caused Mum and Sam to bang heads. Ouch. Poor Sam!
Secondly - While wandering along Dad roared at one of his dogs who wasn't listening. This gave Jacob a fright and prompted him to cry loudly.
Thirdly - Two of Dad's dogs who obviously fancied each other got together (literally) when they weren't allowed to. Dad was NOT amused about this. We even heard a few naughty words come out of Dad's mouth!!!!!

Oh well on a positive note, it was a nice sunny day!

Our little 'two-tooth'

Jacob - Mum and Dad are thrilled to have their first very own 'two-tooth'. Won't be long before Sam joins the flock too.

Giggle juice for breakfast

Daddy thinks that we had giggle-juice for breakfast because whenever he sneezed this morning, we both got a fit of the giggles!!!! So Daddy's sneezes turned the house into a place of much hillarity because Mummy and Daddy were laughing at our giggles.

Sitting pretty

Aren't we clever wee dudes!!!

Yep we can both sit up all by ourselves now - although it's a good idea if there's someone close by just in case we decide to have a rest!

Here we are enjoying the South Otago sunshine. We've needed to be under the shade of the sun umbrella for a total of about 4 times for the "Summer" - if that's what you can call it.

Chilling out

Yep, time out for Mum and Dad so they can eat their tea in peace. Please don't rush for your phones to call CYFS as this is NOT the usual practice .

Of course we are watching something highly educational on the telly!!!!!

Helping with the washing

Jacob - Hi there. Yep, here's my punishment for waking up early from my afternoon sleep!!! I wondered what on earth Mum was doing when she plonked me into the washing basket outside. Then of course I looked so darned cute that she had to rush inside and get the camera! I was supposed to be helping Mum (she thinks she's getting in early with the training but I've got news for her!!!), but I was much more interested in what Holly was doing as she raced around me. Sam woke up just in time to help sort the washing once we'd got inside.

Welcome 2007

Who are these good looking dudes?????

Yep, the first photos for the New Year. Unfortunately Mum & Dad wouldn't let us stay up to see the New Year in (poor sports), but we could hear all of the adults having lots of fun. There seemed to be an extra lot of hillarity when Nana (Cec) fell and hit her head on the fireplace!!!! Whoops we weren't meant to mention that - we won't tell you any more (except to say that she wasn't that well on New Years Day).

Anyway of course Mum couldn't resist taking our first photos for 2007, especially with us looking so smart. We know this is just the beginning of many, many more photo shoots for the year but we don't mind really cos it means that you get to see us and watch us grow and change as the year progresses. Happy New Year everyone and may all your wishes for 2007 come true.

Uncle Mike & Sam hang out

Sam - Uncle Mike came visiting from Melbourne too. He was a little nervous about holding us at first, but he soon got the hang of it and before long him and I were great mates.
He even had a go at dressing me (which provided great entertainment for those nearby). He did a pretty good job taking care of me. Thanks Uncle Mike.

Jake meets Aunty Neet

Jacob - My Aunty Neet came over from Melbourne to meet us and spend Christmas and New Year with us which was just AWESOME. We got loads of cuddles and had heaps of fun times with our cool aunty. I think she quite likes us actually. For some reason most of the photos are of me with Aunty Neet (what a shame). So here are a few for your enjoyment.

Can I eat this????

Jacob - As you can see from these pictures I'm very much at the stage of exploring absolutely everything with my mouth and I get most frustrated if I can't fit what I'm holding into my mouth somehow (the beach ball was a real challenge!!!)

Not everything tastes that flash I might add, but over the past few weeks I certainly have experiented with some interesting textures and flavours!!!

Santa's little helpers

AREN'T WE JUST THE CUTEST!!!!!

Yep, Mum and Dad have survived their first Christmas with us. Mum was definitely more excited about it all than we were!!!

As you can imagine we were more interested in the paper than what was lovingly chosen and wrapped inside.

Here we are trying to open Mum's present for her.
