Santa visits

We had our Waitahuna playgroup Xmas BBQ today (Sunday 9th Dec) and who should turn up in a fire engine (yeah the reindeer were resting up in preparation for Christmas Eve), but jolly old Saint Nick with presents for all of the children!!!
Santa must've been very hot in his Santa suit as it was a beaut day.

As well as presents Santa gave us kids a lollipop and a balloon each. This is our first ever lollipop and boy it tastes great!

After the excitement of present opening, lollipop licking, playing with friends and eating our lunch it was time to kick back, relax and enjoy a stubby with Dad.

Note: For those of you reaching for your phone to call CYFS do not panic - Dad had emptied the contents before we were allowed our little mitts on them!!!

Mum's "little helper"

Sam - As you can see I'm a busy little bee when it comes to helping Mum with the housework. Luckily the vacuum cleaner hose shortens to just the perfect length for me and I love nothing better than whizzing round the kitchen floor sucking up anything in sight. Jake also loves to help and sometimes we've been known to fight over the vacuum cleaner - Mum sure hopes our enthusiasm for housework continues in years to come.

The other chore that we're pretty good at is emptying the dishwasher (usually when Mum and Dad are trying to fill it mind you). Apparently Mum reckons that it takes her twice as long to do anything when we "help" but we can't figure how that can be possible!!!!
