Lake Wanaka

These photos were taken on our most recent family holiday - January '09. Mum and Dad were keen to have a picture taken in this exact spot as apparently this is where they stood for one of their wedding photos nearly 12 years ago (the big photo on the lounge wall for those of you who have visited). We don't think they look much different really - Dad's got a few less hairs and Mums are greyer (not that you'd know as she gets them dyed regularly) but they've aged fairly well we reckon!!!!!

Bugs Bunny - alive or dead?

We are sure that you can guess the answer to the question above!!! These pics were taken when we were holidaying with friends at Queensberry. They have thousands of these gorgeous wee critters demolishing their crops, so needless to say, YES very very dead!

Transport Museum

When we were up in Wanaka in January Mum, Nana, and cousin Mark took us to the Wanaka Transport and Toy museum. It was soooo interesting, with lots to see and sit on (not that we were supposed to sit on the old vehicles inside mind you!!!!) We were there for over 2 hours and still didn't see everything. Definitely worth a look if you haven't been before.

Jake at Toko Mouth

Jake - Hi everyone. Here are some shots of me take taken at Toko Mouth when we visited friends who have a crib there just after Christmas. It was a beaut day and I loved splashing in the water and sitting in our friends kayak.

Musician in the making????

Sam - check out what Jake and I got for Christmas this year - our very own ukelele each. I call mine my "atar" (for guitar of course) and I play it EVERY DAY. I just love it!!! Even better is it's red just like Murray's guitar (from The Wiggles for those of you who don't know who Murray is).
I love to play and sing - my favourites at the moment are Jingle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Mum and Dad hope that I keep up my interest in music but are looking forward to the day when I broaden my range of songs!!!

Family Christmas photos

Here we are at the end of Xmas day and the adults decide it's photo time!!! Here's a couple of the family snaps taken - of course one with just Mum and Dad and us, and then another with Nana and Pop O'Connell too.

Off to school

One morning back in December we decided that we'd had enough of being at home with Mum, so got our backpacks, said "Bye" to Mum and headed off up the driveway to wait for the school bus to take us to school. We waited ..... and waited .... and waited. But no bus! We weren't to know that it was the school holidays!!!!! The only way Mum could get us back home was by bribing us with biscuits. Mum reckons that its great that we're so keen to go to school already (at only two and a half) and hopes we're just as excited in another two and a half years. Could be a long wait!
